And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. (1 Kings 18:21)

You will stand before the Lord and give an account for everything you do. On that day, you will stand alone, but who you stand with today can change the trajectory of your life.

It is essential not to stand with people who oppose God. No matter what color they are or whose side they say they are on if they are not standing with God and for God's Word, then I will not stand with them.

I have seen too many Christians fall for the enemy’s trap by joining groups they are told they should be a part of because of what they look like or because of where they came from. I don’t support people or befriend them simply because of their skin color or their age. I am a new creature; old things are passed away. My defining factor is not about how much melanin I have in my skin or how old I am. However, my faith in Jesus can bind me together with others of like faith regardless of race or age.

The world may call me names if they want; they will not change me from being connected to God. The world isn't my supplier; God is. The world isn’t my healer; God is. The world isn’t going to give me peace; God is.

When I was younger, I used to listen to some of that mess the world talks about, but as I matured in Christ, I realized the bottom line needs to be that God and not the media should lead me. I need to be led by the Holy Spirit and not the emotions that the world tries to stir up as they pull people like puppets on a string. Everybody will stand before the Lord and give an account of who they followed and what they supported.

Practical Application – Take time to think about organizations you give to and people you support. Are they following God’s Word? Are they supporting stances that are clearly against God’s Word? Decide to make adjustments and follow God.
