It's that time of year again where we show our community the love of God by beautifying neighborhoods, donating items to people in need, and encouraging local seniors. Get ready for our church wide community event on Friday, September 30th and Saturday, October 1st . Together, we will continue to show that Word of Faith cares.
We need YOU!!!! With several different options, there is an opportunity for everyone. Learn about each event and register to volunteer below!
They deliver 138,000 pounds of surplus food per day to local charities six days a week, providing families in need with fresh and nutritious food free of charge.
Volunteer Task: Packing fresh, nutritious food destined for the tables of those in need and general warehouse upkeep

CASS COMMUNITY SOCIAL
This Detroit-based agency works across the city in areas of concentrated poverty providing programs for food, health, housing, and jobs. CCSS prepares and serves over 700,000 meals annually. 300 homeless men, women and children currently stay in one of their shelters or permanent supportive housing programs.
Volunteer Task: Assist their staff with prep-work, food service and clean-up. (Masks are required)

GREETING CARDS FOR SENIORS
(NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED)
Last year, our cards blessed hundreds of seniors. Let's do it again!!! Please sign up to send greeting cards to encourage those in our local senior facilities. Your card may be the only personal touch they receive in weeks.
You can submit your PERSONALLY SIGNED AND SEALED cards by placing them in a Word of Faith Cares drop box located in our main sanctuary lobbies. Donations must be received by Saturday, October 1st.
DETROIT BLIGHT BUSTERS
Their mission is to stabilize, revitalize and rebuild Detroit neighborhoods. They have been achieving this by demolishing, renovating and boarding up blighted homes for community use, building community partnerships and sponsoring events that cater to low to middle-income families in Detroit.

HAVEN has helped domestic violence and sexual assault victims and their families escape abuse and create safer lives for over 40 years. Your donation can help them continue their valiant efforts by placing these new items in any of our donation bins located in our receptionist and main sanctuary lobbies. Donations must be received by Saturday, October 1st.
WORD OF FAITH'S OUTREACH DEPARTMENT FACILITIES
Our Outreach Department has been ministering to the senior citizens, youth and homeless from these organization for over 15 years. Now it’s time to show the love of God not just in word but in deed.
