Walking in faith

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17)

There are five elements to faith:

  1. Hearing - Faith begins when the Word is heard. When we hear preaching, teaching, or the Word of God spoken aloud, we have heard it.

  2. Receiving - The Word must be understood not just as information, but as a means of transformation. Receiving the Word is acknowledging what has been sent forth.

  3. Believing - Faith isn't complete until the Word is trusted in your heart, not just memorized with your head.

  4. Speaking - Faith isn’t just felt; it must be declared aloud. What you confess will confront your mountain.

  5. Acting - Faith without works is dead. You must act as if the thing you prayed for is already evident.

When you follow these steps, you can walk in authority in every area of your life because faith is Heaven's operating system. You bring Heaven to earth by operating in faith. You are called to be a conqueror because Jesus has already conquered for us. Having faith in His name means walking daily in response to His Word, and not waiting for evidence before you act.

Practical Application

Feed your ears and activate your speech. Begin your day by speaking the Word aloud so that your ears hear it and your mouth activates what God says.

Jeremiah 23:29; Colossians 3:16
