For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. (1 John 5:7)

1 John 5:7 tells us about the nature of God. He is one God in three divine persons. These three divine persons are the Father, known as Jehovah, who was preeminent in dealing with man for the first 4000 years of our existence. Jesus the Son, about whom the prophets prophesied and to whom the law pointed, came in human flesh. He walked the earth as a sinless man for 33 years; then He bore our sins on the cross. The Word made flesh is Jesus, who was with God in the beginning and was God from eternity. The third person of the Godhead is the Holy Ghost, who was with Jesus during His time on earth and is now with us as believers.
The Holy Ghost is our Helper, our Comforter, and our Assistant. His indwelling presence plants the fruit of the Spirit in our spirits when we are born again. He also gives us power to use the gifts of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit empowers us to bring God’s Kingdom to everyday situations.
These are the Three that bear record in heaven, as John depicts. They are one in name, aim, purpose, thought, and direction. They have always and will always operate in perfect unity as they work with one another in sync and in cooperation.
As we follow God’s Word, obey His leading, and step out in obedience, let's remember we are coming into alignment with the triune God: The Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. And with God, nothing is impossible.
Practical Application
When you are afraid, or when anxiety tries to creep into your mind, plead the blood of Jesus over your life, your loved ones, and your circumstances. Declare and proclaim the blood of Jesus as a shield of protection against all harm and evil.
