And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. (Colossians 1:20)

We have peace because of the sacrifice of Jesus. I know I am saved because of the fullness of His sacrifice and the power of His blood that delivered me from the bondage of sin and death.

The portrayal of Jesus on the cross in popular culture is often sanitized and censored, failing to convey the brutality and agony He endured. He was beaten, bruised, and covered in blood. But every drop of that blood was shed for our deliverance, healing, and protection. The blood of Jesus is powerful and authoritative, providing assurance of our salvation and victory over the enemy.

As believers, we must show honor and gratitude for the blood of Jesus, which has the power to shield us from all harm, heal our bodies and deliver us from danger. It is through faith in the blood of Jesus that we are saved, and it is by pleading the blood of Jesus that we can overcome the attacks of the enemy. When we declare the blood of Jesus, we are declaring the righteousness of God as active in our lives right now!

Do not take the blood of Jesus for granted, instead decide to live your life in gratitude for Jesus' sacrifice and call upon His blood to save, heal, and protect. Pleading the blood of Jesus reminds us of our standing with God and the authority we have as believers.

We express our faith by words. So, sing about the blood. Speak about the blood and call upon the blood. The enemy can try what he wants but he will never overcome the blood of Jesus!

Practical Application

When you are afraid, or when anxiety tries to creep into your mind, plead the blood of Jesus over your life, your loved ones, and your circumstances. Declare and proclaim the blood of Jesus as a shield of protection against all harm and evil.

Ephesians 2:13; Hebrews 13:20
