And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (Mark 16:17-18)

Believing in God is not just something we mentally adhere to or even a set of doctrines we believe; it is a way of life. As Christians, we are called to live out our faith every day, and part of that is by believing God for miracles, signs, and wonders to be displayed through us. That includes laying hands on the sick and praying for their recovery.
Sometimes, when believers are faced with difficult situations or sickness, they question God's will and purpose for allowing such things to happen. They may even wonder if God is trying to teach them a lesson through their trials. However, Jesus never said God gave people trials or made them sick to teach them something. God uses the Holy Spirit to teach and guide us. The devil is the one who wants to kill, steal, and destroy, not God. So, trying to figure out the reason for suffering is usually a waste of time and energy! Instead, we should focus on God's promises and the power of His healing.
We don't have to earn our healing; we simply need to receive it. Healing is a gift that Jesus paid for on the cross, and it is available to all who believe in His name. It doesn't matter how long we have been in the church or how many good works we have done. All that matters is that we believe in the price that Jesus paid for us and receive the gift of healing that He offers.
So if you are facing a sickness or illness, remember that God's promises are true, and He is faithful to fulfill them. Don't be afraid to ask for prayer and for hands to be laid upon you for healing. God's power is not limited by time, distance, or circumstance. He is able to heal you, no matter what you are facing. Trust in His promises, and believe that you will recover.
Practical Application
Do you know someone who is sick or dealing with pain? Have you taken the time to pray for them and lay hands on them, expecting to see them recover? Many Christians don’t step out in faith because they are concerned about how they look in front of others. Be bold; pray and speak and believe that God will do exactly as He promised.
