The Kingdom is Worth Everything

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. (Matthew 13:44-46)
What is the Kingdom of God truly worth? How valuable is it to focus your life on Heaven? Many people in our world pursue status and popularity to satisfy their ego and personal goals.
But Jesus taught us this parable. That's when you realize the value of God’s system and His way of doing things; it’s like a man who found a treasure in a field and sold everything he owned to buy that field.
Notice that the treasure is hidden, but it is not hidden from you; it’s hidden for you. You won’t stumble into the Kingdom’s operation by accident. You intentionally design your life around seeking, studying, praying, and following the Holy Spirit when He guides you.
Why would a man liquidate his entire life to buy an open field? Because he saw what others didn’t. When the world saw dirt, he saw treasure. When the world doesn’t understand why you give, why you serve, why you follow God, they don’t need to. They will see the results of your life. If you want your marriage to be whole, learn how the Kingdom works. If you want your mind to be full of peace, learn how the Kingdom works. If you want prosperity, learn how the Kingdom works. But notice that the man sells everything to buy the one thing worth having. You can’t half-invest in Kingdom works and expect full manifestation. You have to get rid of the old system of fear-based thinking and self-made striving, and follow the Kingdom’s rule.
Practical Application
Invite the Holy Spirit to guide you in what to give, sow, and do to participate in Kingdom purposes. It is always worthwhile to follow His guidance and leadership. The Kingdom operates where it is actively worked.
Matthew 6:21; Colossians 2:3
