Salt Changes Things

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. (Matthew 5:13)
Salt doesn’t do anything just sitting in a shaker; it has to be poured out to make a difference.
If salt sits unused for too long, it loses its effectiveness, unique flavor, and purpose. Many Christians have lost their 'saltiness' when they prioritize money, status, or personal comfort over allowing God to work through them in different situations.
Jesus never said that having money or being blessed was wrong. However, He warned us not to let money become the motivation or main focus of our lives. When we obey God only because there is money involved or we expect compensation, we are no longer treating God as a Father and a friend; He has become an ATM.
God might instruct you to accept a job that pays less than others, but if you remain obedient and allow Him to use your words, actions, and attitude to season the task, God can change the environment and even your financial situation, not only for you but for the entire company.
Daily surrender and willingness to be used by God define what it means for Christians to be salt in the earth. The safest and most blessed place you can be is in God's perfect will. The highest calling is to be fully obedient to the One who sends you. Salt that remains salty saves and seasons everything it touches, regardless of where it is or who is around. Don’t lose your savor by chasing money, titles, or comfort.
Practical Application
Ask yourself, “Am I making decisions based on faith or money?” Decide to recommit yourself to being salt in every environment God has placed you in. Remember that obeying Him is your top priority, and God will use you to change atmospheres.
