At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me. And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. (Acts 26:13-18)

Saul was not a likely candidate for ministry. He was known for his persecution of Christians, and many people feared his name. But God chose him to be a minister of the Gospel. Sometimes, like Saul, we may feel unworthy or unqualified to be used by God. We may think that our past mistakes disqualify us from ministry or that our skills are inadequate. But God doesn't call the qualified; He qualifies the called. He can use anyone, no matter their past, to fulfill His purpose. We just need to answer the call.

The Lord may call us to do something that we feel unprepared for, but we can trust He will equip us for the task. We just need to be obedient and willing to follow His lead. When God calls us, He has a purpose for our lives. He may want us to minister to a specific group of people or to share the Gospel with those who have never heard it. We need to be open to His leading and to trust that He will guide us every step of the way.

Like Saul, we may feel unworthy or unqualified for the task, but we need to remember that it is not about us. It is about God and what He can do through us. We just need to answer the call and to trust that He will use us for His glory.

Practical Application

God's plans for your life may not always align with your own plans, but it's important to trust in His guidance and obey Him.
