Faith is the Evidence

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)
Faith isn't about pretending or just wishful thinking. It is a spiritual substance that enables God to use us to make the unseen realm visible and tangible. Faith isn't rooted in what you see or feel, but in what you hear. Faith comes by hearing the Word, and just like in bodybuilding, repetition builds muscle.
You can stand on the promise before anything in your circumstances changes. When you learn to operate by faith, you stop being a spectator in the world around you, and you realize that you are an overcomer called to bring Kingdom knowledge and change into every problematic situation.
Faith isn't some mystical, religious concept. It is the practical, real way that God wants things to happen here on earth as they are in Heaven.
Practical Application
Increase your "hearing" this week. Choose some series from your church to listen to more and dedicate more time to hearing the Word than you do to hearing the things of this world.
2 Corinthians 4:18; 2 Corinthians 5:7
