WATER
BAPTISM

Blue Water

"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:" (Matthew 28:19-20)

What is

Water Baptism?

Water Baptism is a biblical ordinance given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ. The word “baptism” comes from the Greek word “BAPTIZO” which means to plunge into, submerge, to sink, thrust under, immerse, or soak.

Water Baptism is an act of obedience that is subsequent to the New Birth experience. It is an outward sign of the inward grace of salvation. It represents that we have died to sin and self, and we now live new lives in Him. Therefore, it is important to note that Water Baptism does not have any saving power.

There is only one way that we can become born again Christians, and that is by receiving Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior (Romans 10:8-10).
