You Must Be Born Again

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. (John 3:3-7)
Jesus' words to Nicodemus remain as powerful today as they were then. "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." When Nicodemus came to Jesus, he was eager for information, but he was not prepared for revelation. The words to Nicodemus sounded impossible.
Jesus spoke of a second birth. The first birth is what brings you into the natural world, but the second birth introduces you to the supernatural world. In fact, Jesus said that you cannot even understand the Kingdom of God unless you are first born again. The Kingdom of God is not earned through effort or religious deeds. When you are spiritually reborn, God opens your eyes and heart to His reality and system of living.
The Holy Spirit doesn't just give you new life; He teaches you how to speak, how to live, and how to achieve victory in every situation.
Practical Application
Being born again means you are no longer compelled to follow your old nature. Choose to think, speak, and act according to how the Holy Spirit guides you, not your flesh.
