Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? (Hebrews 10:29)
One of the Holy Spirit’s titles in Scripture is the Spirit of Grace. As the Spirit of Grace, He gives us favor when He operates in our lives.

Hebrews 10:29 defines the spiritual life of prideful people. They assume that because they have done good works and good things, they are worthy of God’s blessing and provision.
Some prideful people are so self-involved and self-important that they only use the ministry of Jesus as a steppingstone to launch them into something more significant.
Hebrews 10:29 further explains that prideful people do not consider the importance of Christ’s sacrifice. They don’t discern the Lord’s body (1 Corinthians 11:29). These are people who would take communion as nothing more than juice and bread.
When someone is prideful, they cannot receive from the ministry of the Holy Spirit, who wants to give supernatural favor for every good thing. We all need grace. We all need the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Grace, at your job or in your business, means the Holy Spirit gets involved and puts you in front of the right people. Grace in your household is when the Holy Spirit empowers you to schedule, parent your children, and have the support that you need. Grace is needed in every aspect of life – but it cannot be given to the prideful.
Be humble and accept grace – the manifestation and ministry of the Holy Spirit – to help you with every part of your life.
Practical Application – We all need grace, but it only comes to those who are thinking of others before themselves. What do you want God to do in your life? How can you sow into someone else today as you believe for your manifestation?
