And all the people saw him walking and praising God: And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the Temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him. And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering. And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? (Acts 3:9-12)

My spiritual father, Reverend Kenneth E. Hagin, used to say that divine healing was Jesus' dinner bell for salvation.

When God used Peter and John to perform this miracle, they were at Solomon's porch on the Temple's east side. This was the common gathering place, and it could hold many more people than any of the other areas of the Temple.

It was there that the miracle took place. The large space allowed Peter to preach to multitudes.

If no miracle had taken place, many people would have simply dismissed Peter as a ranting preacher. However, the sign and wonder captured their attention, and they all listened to what he had to say.

Jesus is the same today as He was then. Let’s believe God for opportunities to boldly step out and see the supernatural done through our hands and words. Divine healing is the dinner bell for salvation. Are you willing to be used by God to do something you are uncomfortable doing? Don't try to do the miraculous. Just accept that God has called you to do supernatural things and step out, expecting that God will make up the difference.

Practical Application – The next time someone tells you they don’t feel well, be bold and ask to pray for them right then and there with the expectation that God can use you to operate in the miraculous.

Acts 5:16; Acts 14:9
