God is on the Inside

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Here's something the church needs to settle once and for all. If you are born again, you are not a spiritual schizophrenic. There is no battle going on inside you between God and the devil. God does not share territory. The devil cannot live where the Holy Ghost resides.

When you were born again, God moved in, and the old tenant was evicted. Now I am not saying the devil won't attack your body or try to mess with your mind. He will. That battle is real. But the real you, your spirit, the part of you that was reborn, is clean and does not share space with demons.

When you are born again, your spirit belongs to God. It is new. The Holy Ghost resides within that new creation, and He is not competing with anything.

In the Old Testament, God could only interact with people from the outside in. He had to work through external signs, like burning bushes and pillars of fire, because the people He dealt with were not born again. He could not dwell inside them. But you are different.

Because of what Jesus did, God has moved from the outside to the inside. He is not trying to get your attention from external sources. He is already within you and can speak to you directly. When a believer truly understands this—not just as information in your head, but as truth deep in your spirit—it will change how you live. You will stop begging for help that is already inside you. You will stop waiting for a move of God that is already within you. You will start releasing what is already there.

Practical Application

Stop living like God is far away and trying to reach you. He already lives inside you. Today, make it a point to acknowledge His presence within. Before you pray or face your situation, thank Him for being with you. He is there. Talk to Him from that place.

Galatians 2:20; Ephesians 2:4
