God Can Use Anything

But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel. (Philippians 1:12)
Sometimes life throws you into situations that seem like setbacks, but God can turn even the problems that come up in our lives into something that glorifies Him. Paul wasn’t writing the book of Philippians on a resort or even a comfortable home. He was in prison in Rome, under constant guard, facing an uncertain future. Yet, instead of complaining, sulking, or whining, he saw his time in prison as a blessed opportunity. He explained that even here, the Gospel would continue to spread.
The enemy may have intended prison as a way to silence Paul or stop the spread of his message, but God used it to strengthen the message. Your wounds can become windows through which others see God’s glory and power in your victory. In prison, Paul was given open doors to serve Roman guards, write letters that would last beyond empires, and encourage the Body of Christ for generations.
The same God who used Paul's prison for power and glory can turn your problem into a compelling display for those around you. God doesn’t require perfect circumstances to achieve His desired results. If He can transform a prison into a pulpit for Paul, He can convert your pain into a platform for His glory. Don’t undervalue where you are; God might be using it to write a story that will last beyond your time. God remains good, He still has a plan, and He intends to use you for His glory.
Practical Application
Are you going through a season where you feel attacked, restricted, or find yourself in a stressful or disappointing situation? Instead of asking God “why is this happening,” change your prayer to ask “how can I show your glory even in this problem?” God doesn’t waste anything.
