Go into All the World

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Mark 16:15-16)

This was not just a suggestion Jesus made; it was a command, and it wasn't limited to the known world of the first-century. He was instructing believers to reach every sphere in every part of the world, wherever people live. When you think about “the world,” what do you picture? Most imagine distant lands. For those in America, they might think of Europe or Africa as “the world,” but it also includes your neighborhood, your workplace, your classroom, social media, and any circle of influence you have. All of these “worlds” need the message of the Gospel.

The Gospel isn’t just something you preach; it’s something you carry. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to empower us to be witnesses in all the “worlds” we are involved in. Finally, Jesus divided the world into two simple groups: those who believe and those who refuse to. Faith is the entry point for the believer into the body of Christ, and baptism is the public declaration of the faith we profess.

The Gospel of Christ doesn’t condemn people; it reveals their own decisions. That’s why you and I are called to “go”—because how will they hear without a preacher? Faith only comes to them by hearing the Word of God.

You are sent as a living epistle to declare the love of God and demonstrate His power to the world around you.

Practical Application

Be intentional in every part of your life to talk about your faith. Look for small opportunities to explain why you believe and be willing to pray for others; also, invite them to church. An invitation can change a life forever.
