But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. (Matthew 6:33-34)
Faith isn’t a savings account. You can’t fill up on faith at a week-long convention or seminar and be set for the rest of the year. Jesus said, “Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” That means each day brings its own problems, issues, and needs, and your spirit must be prepared daily to face them. Every sunrise presents a new satanic strategy and renewed strength. You decide which one your day is defined by through your focus. The Word of God is our spiritual food. That means you need it every single day. Without food, your body grows weak. Without the Word of God, our faith weakens. If you stop prioritizing reading, hearing, and speaking the Word in your life, you will also stop walking in victory.
I have been at Word of Faith for the last 46 years, but even I need to get into the Word of God every day. You may have decades of solid doctrine and still crumble under daily pressure if you’re not feeding your faith each day. Yesterday’s revelation might not necessarily lead to victory over today’s problems. The enemy desires nothing more than lazy, distracted Christians. That’s why he keeps sending opportunities for you to lose focus. Your faith is more important than what you watch on social media. Your faith is more important than what you see on TV. Strong believers wake up ready for new revelation and renewed strength, eager for the Word.
Practical Application
Make it a habit to start your mornings with the Word of God. Nourish your faith before the world feeds your fear. When challenges arise, let the Word of God be the first thing that comes out of your mouth.
