For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth. (Colossians 1:5-6)

Paul explained that the entire church of Colossae heard the Word of truth, which is the Gospel. He spoke it and declared it and it was received by the people.
Paul explained that because he delivered the Word, it would bringeth forth fruit. The Word always produces when it is sown into teachable hearts.
Some people are confused about what is needed for the power of God to change people’s lives. For example, people sometimes ask if our church does “deliverance services.” When they ask that, they’re asking if we put on a demonstration with someone casting demons out of everyone in attendance. My answer is that every service is a deliverance service because when the Word is preached, it always produces deliverance. The Word sets bodies free, the Word sets minds free, the Word makes demons leave when it is preached.
Every time someone gets saved, deliverance happens.
Wherever the Word is preached faithfully, deliverance happens.
If you need deliverance in an area of your life, you probably haven’t been sitting in a place where the Word is preached, or you never received or applied the Word that has been spoken about your situation.
Put faith in what you hear, and you can be freed from any negative supernatural influence. That’s why God wants the Word in your mouth because it puts to flight all the plans of the enemy.
Practical Application
Deliverance is yours when you speak the Word. If you ever feel like a demonic force is attacking your mind, your body, or any part of your life, get the Word out and declare what God says about you.
