And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:1-6)

Jesus humbled Himself, leaving the perfection of Heaven to come to earth in the form of a servant so you and I could become like Him. The power of the Holy Ghost has delivered us, protected us, healed us, preserved us, and made us whole. In fact, you are no longer the same creature you used to be. Your very nature has been changed by the power of God that was released when Jesus rose from the dead.
Not only has our nature been changed, but our standing has also changed because of Jesus. Paul wrote in Ephesians 2:6 that those who follow Christ have been made to sit together in heavenly places with Him. This is why Christians can boldly come before the throne of grace to ask for help when we need it. You and I are not far away from God’s presence. We have a seat at the table because of Jesus’ sacrifice for us.
What do you need? Do you need to be healed? Do you need to understand something? Do you need finances for a project? You have already been graced to get help from God Himself. We aren’t to beg God. We come before Him, understanding our position as a part of the royal family of Heaven.
Practical Application
The grace of God is available to you. As you pray, believe it and act like it. Be bold in how you pray and approach God. Be confident as you pray.
