Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. (Romans 8:37)
Do you remember the story of Daniel? He found himself in a tough situation, faced with the choice to deny God or face a lion’s den where death was inevitable. When he decided to follow God, God didn’t kill the lions or change the leaders' minds. Daniel wasn’t spared the pressure he faced, so don’t be shocked when you face tough situations.
Ask yourself, “What do I do when the pressure gets heavy?” How do you respond when you're in the “lion’s den,” not just emotionally, but spiritually, mentally, and physically? You aren’t called just to survive. You are anointed to conquer. Whatever you're facing won’t defeat you. You already have what you need. Daniel had the wisdom and favor of God before he was thrown into the lions’ den, so build yourself up in God’s Word every day. You’re not waiting for strength; God has already given it to you, and now you need to activate it. You don’t wait for an anointing to go into battle; you’ve already been anointed for it.
Daniel was in Babylon. The lions weren’t imaginary; they were very real and had teeth, but God didn’t abandon him. He sent an angel into the den to be with Daniel. Don’t misjudge your situation and assume that God is distant. The Bible recounts the stories of many people of faith who faced challenging situations. For example, in Acts 27, we read about Paul being in a Euroclydon, an extremely violent storm at sea. Paul didn’t get teleported out of the problem; he had to endure the storm on the boat. He made it to shore, but only on broken pieces of the ship. Sometimes, walking in victory means being willing to tap into the peace of God amid chaos.
Practical Application
Prepare for victory by building yourself up in God’s Word. Regardless of what you go through, trust in Him.
