Angels Assigned

But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? (Hebrews 1:13-14)
Note that the Scripture states that angels are sent to minister "for" not "to" the heirs of salvation. They are not just here to strengthen and comfort you (although they do that). They are also dispatched on your behalf to perform tasks that align with God's purpose for your life.
As an heir to the Kingdom, God has not left you defenseless. He has assigned angels to watch over and protect you. Angels are not just winged spirits in diapers with arrows. They are real, active, and assigned specifically to your case. Their role is to ensure you successfully fulfill what God has called you to do. They don't serve you because you’ve done enough religious acts or because you're some VIP in Heaven. They minister to you because you are an heir.
They are not passive background characters in the Christmas story; they are active ministering spirits serving us. Angels are not independent operators; they are designated and assigned to our lives.
Practical Application
Make sure to assign your angels every day. Put them to work. Instruct them to protect, guard, and prepare your way.
Psalm 110:1; Matthew 22:44
