A Fact She Believed That Inspired Her to Act

And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. (Mark 5:25-28)
This woman had suffered for twelve years and spent everything she had on physicians who left her no better, and Scripture says she was actually worse. By any natural measure, hope should have run out long before this moment. But she had a specific scriptural basis for her expectation, rooted in the promise that when the Messiah came, healing would be found in the border of His garment.
What Scripture tells us she did was a deliberate act, not just a desperate guess at what to do. Her act of faith was a response to a specific fact about the garments Jesus wore, as spoken of by the prophets. She was not just hoping something might work. She was acting in faith on what she understood Scripture to promise, applying it directly to the person she believed to be the Messiah standing before her.
Whether she spoke this belief so others could hear or only softly to herself, one thing remained consistent. She was pressing to align her actions with what she understood God’s Word already said. That is the pattern faith is meant to follow. First, find a truth rooted in Scripture, believe it fully, and then move your body in a way that aligns with that belief, regardless of how desperate or unconventional the situation may appear.
Practical Application
Identify a specific promise from Scripture that directly applies to your situation. Take one physical step of faith today that aligns with that promise, as this woman did.
