You Have What You Believe
And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. (Mark 5:25-27)
God will meet you where your faith is. In my years of ministry, I have seen God heal people in various, and sometimes, very odd ways. Some strange scenarios happened because of where people had set their mouth and their faith.
You have what you believe. Do you remember the whole story of the women with the issue of blood? The Bible tells us that she kept saying, “If I only touch Him, I will be whole.” Was touching Jesus’ garment the only way for people to be healed? Not at all. We see many ways that Jesus brought healing to people through the Gospels, but she had what she believed.
Jesus didn't say that her touch or His garment healed her; He said, “your faith has made you whole.” He explained that she had what she believed. She believed it, she spoke it, and she saw the manifestation of it.
Before she could believe it or say it, the woman had to hear the Word about Jesus. If you want to see God move in your situations, you first must hear what His Word has to say about what is happening. If you hear the wrong things, it will cause you to believe the wrong things, speak the wrong things, and receive the wrong things in your life.
Set your faith and set your mouth on what the Word says about you and your life. You can have what you believe - so speak faith only and do not doubt.
Practical Application – What are you saying? Have you been speaking faith, or have you been expressing doubt and confusion? Pay attention to the words you say. Every time you speak a word of doubt or disbelief, counteract it by speaking a word of faith.
