The Safest Place to Be

And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I am the Lord in the midst of the earth. (Exodus 8:22)

As the world turns further away from God, it operates more in the curse. Those of us, however, who serve according to God's Word, operate in the blessing.

Once, when I was in Pakistan ministering, people said that they were going to come and harm the preachers, but God had told me, "The safest place to be is in My will.” Armed men came to my meeting, but I was never harmed during that trip.

As situations in the world spin out of control, remember how God took care of the people of Israel when all of the plagues were happening in Egypt. Not one of those plagues came upon the covenant people of God.

In Exodus 8:22, God said that He would sever (or separate) Goshen, where His people lived, from the problems happening in the world around them.

Swarms of flies were attacking the land at that time that could cause sickness, economic issues and frustrations. But God’s people were safe. Just because the world around you is dealing plagues, it doesn’t mean that you have to deal with it.

You need to say out loud, “I’m a covenant person. I’m the healed and not the sick. I’m above only and not beneath.”

It's fine to understand what is going on in the world, but don't allow your faith to be moved from the truth of the Word.

Practical Application – Do not allow yourself to fear what is going on in the world around you. Stay in God’s will; it is the safest place. Speak faith, not fear.
