The Power Within You

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Philippians 4:13)

Some believers look to Jesus to automatically fix everything in their lives. Paul asked God to remove the angel of Satan, but instead, God told Him, “I already gave you the grace to be able to do that yourself.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Many Christians read Philippians 4:13 and say, “Jesus will make anything work out for me.”

However, we must be cautious not to shirk our responsibility to do something. In fact, the verse doesn’t say who; it says which. This isn’t talking about Jesus; it's talking about Christos - the anointing.

You are anointed and that anointing is on you to empower and strengthen you to handle emergencies with a calm and cool demeanor as you declare the Word only and expect to see results. When people see you go through the trouble and come out the other side unharmed, they will ask, "How did you do that?" And you will answer, "I was able because of the anointing."

It's not your power; it's not your ability or vast knowledge and wisdom that gives you the ability to get through challenges, problems, and trials. No, God empowered you with the anointing, and God connected you to other believers who add their supply of the Spirit with you.

When the anointing upon you and other believers connect, you become a steam roller for God, plowing over any and everything that Satan tries to put in your path to derail you.

Practical Application – Tell yourself daily, "I am anointed." Throughout the day, when challenges arise, let the first phrase that comes out of your mouth be, "I am anointed." Since you are anointed, you can do ALL things.

Acts 10:38; 1 John 2:27
