The Power of Confession
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:11)
Never forget the power of confession. How did you get saved and transferred from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light? You believed in your heart, and you confessed with your mouth, “Jesus is the Son of God who died for me on Calvary. Jesus is Lord.” Confession, in the original text, is a form of the Greek word homologeo. It means to acknowledge or fully agree with. When you acknowledged that you wholeheartedly agreed with what the Bible says about Jesus, you were born again and became a new creation in Christ.
God’s will is for everyone to be saved, but at this point in His timeline, He doesn't force anyone to accept Jesus. However, a day is coming when every human being, angel, and demon on the earth and in the pit of hell is going to confess, “Jesus is Lord.”
For those who wait until that time, it will be too late. Those on the winning side are those who confess Jesus as their Lord and Savior now. You can choose to be on the winning side or the losing side. I don't know about you, but my momma didn't raise a dummy! I am standing on the winning side. I am with Jesus, my Lord. He is the One that is highest in authority. His victory is my victory and yours if you are on His side now.
The power of confession – agreeing with what God said in His Word – has brought you from the losing side to the winning side. The power of confession will also manifest your healing, prosperity, and peace. All you have to do is agree with God's Word. Believe it in your heart and speak it from your mouth!
Practical Application – Thank God we’re on the winning side. Jesus is Lord! The same power of confession that saved you will heal you, provide for you, and give you peace and joy. Use the power of confession.
