All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers. (Deuteronomy 8:1)

When the Lord gives a specific Word for a season, it is to get your attention on what He is teaching, how He wants you to speak, and what He wants you to do. His Word carries an anointing that empowers us to walk in the fullness of His plan. It’s important to understand that your acceptance and obedience to that Word is crucial to seeing it come to pass. I am blessed in my life because of the decisions I made that God wanted me to make, and I was willing to follow Him, even when I didn’t understand.

You must focus on what God is saying and obey as soon as possible. If you do not, the enemy will seek to distract, discourage, and deter you from the path of obedience. It’s during these challenging times that your faith and determination will be tested. Do not blame God when it looks like circumstances don't align with His promises. Instead, look at your own life and ask - is my faith right? Am I speaking by faith or fear?

Meditating on God's Word allows us to see ourselves differently. When you feel weak, you need to say, “What does the Word say?” The Word says you are strong, “So, I am strong!” When you feel you’re not enough, you ask, “What does the Word say?” The Word says faith is the victory. “So, I am victorious!”

As you consistently speak and believe God's Word over your life, you will see a transformation that defies natural circumstances. But remember that your mouth is the initiator of the blessing. Get complaining out of your mouth and replace it with the Word. Stop the worry-filled words from coming out of your mouth and replace them with the Word. You need to speak life, strength, and victory over every situation. You’ll see God’s promises displayed through you.

Practical Application

When you are tempted to worry, doubt yourself, or to complain about what is happening in your life, choose instead to speak the Word. Declare His promises over you and your life.

Deuteronomy 12:28; Mark 4:20
