Pray God’s Word
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. (Isaiah 55:10-11)
For some people, praying is no more than a complaint session between them and God. “God, let me tell you about all of my problems… in Jesus’ name, Amen.” God knew about your problem before you told Him about it; there’s no need to rehash them all.
God isn't asking you to pray about your problem; He's asking you to pray according to His Word. Pray the solution to your problem.
The only way to find the solution to your problem is to pray God’s promises from His Word. Spend time studying the Bible and search it for the answers to the issues that you are facing.
God promises in Isaiah 55 that His Word will not come back to Him void. Void means empty. When you pray the Word, it doesn’t come back empty - it returns fulfilled!
When you pray God's Word, it is powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, and can produce amazing results in the natural realm. Do you want guaranteed results from your prayers? Then always pray according to His Word.
Practical Application – What questions do you need God to answer? What are the problems that you are currently facing? Take time to study a few more Scriptures concerning that specific area. Do you already have a Scripture you are standing on? Find another. Then pray specifically about those issues using the Word of God.
