No Fear Here
And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God. (Philippians 1:28)
Don’t allow fear to be part of your life.
The enemy would like nothing better than to see that you are full of fear and not stand up in your authority in Christ. Satan and his demons want you to backup and cower when they bring situations against you.
Paul encouraged the church in Philippi to be a community that refused to allow the spirit of fear to control them.
When you refuse to be frightened, your adversary loses any advantage he may have had. Satan is a liar, and fear is nothing more than false evidence appearing real.
No matter what persecution, gossip, or attack, the enemy tries to play against you, when you refuse to back away from your standing in Christ, Satan knows he’s lost. When you continue to stand in faith and not cower in fear, your courage will draw others to stand in faith with you.
The church is called to encourage and build up one another so that fear has no place in our local bodies of faith.
As we speak courage and lift one another up, we make our enemies shake in their boots. They fear a fearless church! When we stand firm, they see their defeat in front of them.
Make the devil scared and refuse to allow yourself or any other brother or sister in Christ to speak words of fear.
Practical Application – Encourage others to speak words of faith and victory instead of words of fear and defeat. Remember, the devil fears a fearless church!
