Knowledge of God

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. (Colossians 1:10)

When you receive Jesus as Lord and the Holy Ghost comes to live the inside of you, He will continue to reveal more of His knowledge to you. He will open your eyes and show you how His laws work and how to put them into action. There are laws of healing, laws of prosperity, seed, time and harvest, and many others. The secret truths of God are no longer hidden to the believer.

If you lack knowledge, know that God has already planned on increasing your knowledge in any area you need. God plans on it so that you can walk worthy of the Lord. The word worthy means appropriately. God won’t send you out without what you need. He wants you to be able to appropriately accomplish all that He has for you.

But what does appropriately accomplishing look like? Paul continued praying that you would be fruitful in every good work and increase in the knowledge of God. God plans on you being fruitful in everything that you do, but for you to walk in such fruitfulness, He must first fill you with understanding.

The Word says that people are destroyed because of a lack of knowledge, not a lack of shouting or praising or worshipping. That's why our primary focus is to increase our understanding of God and His Word.

God plans on you living a blessed and fruitful life. It all begins with your willingness to allow God to fill you with more knowledge of Him.

Practical Application – When you read the Word today, think about what it reveals about God and His character. Increase your knowledge of God through His Word.

Hosea 4:1; Hosea 4:6
