And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)

Jesus was full of grace and full of truth. Not one or the other; He was full of both!
The Greek word for full is pleres. It means something that has been covered over with something. So, Jesus was covered over with grace and covered over with truth.
Jesus taught truth. His Word is truth.
The world wants you to believe that truth is relative and can be specific to each person. In John 17:17, Jesus told us the Word of God is truth, not your opinion about the Word of God or your experience in receiving the Word of God. Opinions and experiences are not equal to God’s Word! God's Word is truth. Jesus was covered over by the Word of God and full of the Word of God. Now, how do you get full of the Word?
When Jesus was only 12 years old, His parents couldn't find Him for three days. When they finally found Him, He was at the temple surrounded by the teachers of the law. He was asking and answering questions about the Word.
When His mother questioned why He was there, He responded, "Don't you know I have to be about my Father’s business?” Jesus understood that to be about His Father's business, He had to be in the place where the Word of God was taught.
Believers who think there is no solid reason for them to be in church and with other believers where the Word of God is taught must not be looking at the example that Jesus set! If you want to be full of truth, you must plant yourself in a good Bible teaching church.
Practical Application
How much of the truth are you full of? Write five Scriptures that you want to memorize. Choose verses that apply to what is going on in your life. Speak these verses out loud when your mind or your heart senses fear approaching.
