Build Yourself Up
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost. (Jude 1:20)
You are a body builder. I don't mean that you necessarily are someone who lifts massive amounts of weight and has bulging muscles. The Word says that you are God's house, and He plans on that house growing more robust and more efficient. Why? Because you have been given authority on earth. This is why prayer is so vitally important in the life of the believer. It allows God to do on earth what He wants to do because you give Him access.
How do we grow and increase in spiritual matters? We pray in the Holy Ghost.
Praying in the Spirit doesn't just pray the perfect will of God; it builds you up spiritually and strengthens you to be able to endure times of attack.
Praying in the Spirit makes you more powerful as well. As you increase and build yourself up, you can take on more responsibilities and challenges, knowing that God has empowered you to stand firm in the Spirit.
God doesn’t want you to remain at the same level spiritually for the rest of your life. We are called to grow and develop.
Even Harvard University, a very anti-God place, noted in their research that prayer brings health to the physical body.
God designed prayer in the Spirit to be a building exercise. When you pray in the Holy Spirit, you pray God's perfect will; you cannot be understood by the enemy, you grow spiritually, you can be healed physically and balanced emotionally.
Praying in the Spirit will benefit every part of your life.
